Welcome to RiddleQuest 2024 - Session 1: Weekly Cyber Challenge!

RiddleQuest is an exhilarating weekly capture-the-flag (CTF) event designed to immerse participants in the thrilling world of cybersecurity. Hosted by GameOfRiddles, this event offers a unique opportunity for individuals to test their skills, expand their knowledge, and engage with a vibrant community of like-minded enthusiasts.

Event Overview:

Format: Weekly capture-the-flag (CTF) challenges presented as cybersecurity riddles.
Objective: Solve the challenges and submit your answers using our convenient Google Form.
Recognition: The first three individuals to correctly submit the flag (answer) each week will be recognized as "First Blood" winners and featured on GameOfRiddles' social media platforms. The top performers at the end of the three-month session will receive additional rewards and certifications. Additionally, the top 3 participants will be honored with a place in the prestigious Hall of Fame from GameOfRiddles.
Engagement: Participants will explore various aspects of cybersecurity, including cryptography, steganography, network analysis, web exploitation, binary exploitation, and more.

Event Schedule:

Over the course of three months, participants will tackle 12 weekly challenges from 25 March to 25 May 2024.
Challenges are released every Monday, and participants have a set amount of time (typically 1-5 days) to solve and submit their answers.
Monthly recap sessions provide an opportunity for participants to discuss challenges, share insights, ask questions, and engage with the community.

Challenge Design:

Our challenges are meticulously crafted to cover a wide range of cybersecurity topics.
The difficulty level is carefully adjusted to ensure a balanced experience for participants of all skill levels.

Week Challenge Details:

Easy: 50 points per solve
Medium: 80 points per solve
Hard: 100 points per solve
First Blood Bonus:
- 1st Blood: +25 points
- 2nd Blood: +15 points
- 3rd Blood: +10 points
Challenge Release Time:
- Bangladesh Time: 10:00 AM
- International Time: 04:00 AM UTC

Participant Engagement:

GameOfRiddles promotes the event through its website, social media, and email newsletters every month to attract participants.
Dedicated forums and Discord channels are available for participants to collaborate, discuss solutions, and seek help throughout the session.
Weekly hints or additional clues may be provided to assist participants who are struggling with the challenges.

Rewards and Recognition:

First Blood Winners: Individuals who achieve the distinction of being the first to solve the riddles each week will receive exciting swag/voucher items, including branded merchandise such as t-shirts, stickers, or other cybersecurity-related items.
Top Performers: At the end of the three-month session, the top three participants who consistently perform well throughout the event will be awarded certifications. These certifications recognize their achievement in cybersecurity and participation in the RiddleQuest event, customized to highlight the specific skills and knowledge demonstrated during the event. Additionally, they will earn a place in the prestigious Hall of Fame from GameOfRiddles.

Rules and Regulations:

Participants must solve challenges individually. Collaboration or sharing of answers is not permitted.
Participants must submit their answers using the provided Google Form within the specified time frame for each challenge.
The flag format is GoR{[0-9a-f]{32}}.
Do not publish writeups until passes 3 days of challenge published.
Any form of cheating, plagiarism, or unethical behavior will result in disqualification from the event.
Participants must adhere to the Code of Conduct outlined by GameOfRiddles. Any violation may result in immediate removal from the event and forfeiture of rewards.
